The Hope Recreation Centre is now sporting a modern electronic sign that will better inform the public on community events and recreation centre programs. The old sign meant staff at the rec centre had to change each plastic letter by hand. Staff will now be able to change the sign from inside with the click of a mouse. They are hoping to install the original Hope Recreation Centre wooden sign below the electronic one. The new $33,000 sign was in the original construction plans for the recreation centre over a decade ago but had been cut due to budget constraints.
