Hope and Chilliwack have been chosen as the starting point for a special test run this week in preparation for the 2010 Olympic torch relay.

About 150 runners have been seconded for the test, and will run the 47-km leg that spans between Chilliwack and Hope on Wednesday.

The Olympic Torch will officially pass through the area on its way to the 21st Winter Olympic Games on Feb. 7, 2010, but locals will get a sneak peak of the spectacle this week starting in the morning at the Hope Recreation Centre.
