A missing man from Hope has been located by his family in Kelowna, within two hours of police putting out a public alert, Tuesday afternoon.

Clayton Aitchison, 84, went missing Monday, July 13, from his Kawkawa Lake Road residence.

"After waiting several hours for Aitchison to return his wife reported him missing to the Hope RCMP out of concern for his safety," reports Constable Lea-Anne Dunlop, of the RCMP Chilliwack media relations office.

"Clayton Aitchison has been located at a family residence in Kelowna and is in good health. Thank you for the assistance on this matter, said media relations officer, Constable Lea-Anne Dunlop.
