ASPECT: New small business employee training program
Updated: July 17, 2009 10:17 AM
There are thousands of small business employees requiring training and upgrading in BC. Small Business employers often can’t afford to pay for required training. Upgrading and skill development of growth employees benefits both the employer and the employee.
If you have one or more employees who have not completed high school and/or lack essential skills, you may qualify for the ASPECT Small Business Employee Training Program which is designed to benefit both the employer and employee.
The ASPECT Small Business Employee Training Program is being delivered in Hope and throughout the Fraser Valley by Bowman Employment Services.
Training can be either job-specific, or can focus on building essential skills like computer use, literacy and working with others, to help employees expand their abilities and improve productivity.
This province-wide project is designed to upgrade the skills of people working for small businesses; ensuring employees have the training they need to do their jobs.
Funding for this program is provided through the Canada-BC Labour Market Agreement.
