Man, 20, dies at scene of fiery crash

A 20-year-old Agassiz man has died following a crash Sunday night.
The single vehicle accident happened on Hot Springs Road near Striker Crescent shortly before midnight.
RCMP say the driver lost control of his Honda Civic at the corner and struck a tree. The impact caused extensive damage to the vehicle, which then caught fire. The driver was seriously injured, and died on scene.
Police are not releasing the name of the driver at this time.
The Integrated Collision Analyst Reconstruction Service (ICARS) were called to conduct an examination of the scene and Hot Springs Road was closed for several hours overnight. The investigation is ongoing at this time by the Agassiz RCMP and BC Coroners Office. Early indication is that speed was a factor.
