RCMP'S weekly calls

It was another busy week for the Agassiz RCMP, dealing with issues around the area.

Selection of calls responded to by Agassiz RCMP in Agassiz, District of Kent, Harrison Hot Springs, Bridal Falls, Popkum, First Nations Communities and other Regional District Areas.

They dealt with someone uttering threats against another person on Lougheed Highway, as well as on Seabird Island. There was an assault on Morrow Road in Agassiz, and a breach of peace on Hot Springs Road in Harrison Hot Springs.

There were two separate incidents of break and enter to residences; one on Else Road in District of Kent and one on Esplanade Avenue in Harrison Hot Springs.

There were disturbance calls on Hot Springs Road, Rockwell and Miami River Drives, Esplanade Avenue and Eagle Street in Harrison Hot Springs, on the Seabird Island and Cheam Reserves and on Kilby Beach.

RCMP dealt with a credit card fraud on Esplanade Avenue in Harrison Hot Springs and impersonation fraud on Vimy Road in Agassiz

There were two trucks stolen, one on Highway 9 in Agassiz and one on the Cheam Reserve. There were thefts on Pioneer Avenue and Highway 9 in Agassiz and on Lillooet Avenue in Harrison Hot Springs.

Thieves also stole from vehicles on Popkum Road North, the Agassiz-Rosedale Bridge and on the Cheam Reserve.

A vehicle was taken without consent on Echo Avenue in Harrison Hot Springs. There was a collision on Mount Woodside.

There were five charges of mischief under $5000, on Hot Springs Road, Esplanade Avenue and Juniper Place in Harrison Hot Springs, as well as on Beaman Drive and Cemetery Road in Kent District.

There was one impaired operation of motor vehicle on Lougheed Highway in Agassiz, and noise bylaw contradictions on Cedar and Esplanade Avenues in Harrison Hot Springs.

RCMP were asked to check on someone's well being in Agassiz, and assisted a Mental Health Act call in Harrison and Emergency Health Services in Agassiz. There was a missing person on Rockwell Drive near Harrison Hot Springs.

They enforced the Firearms Act on Lougheed Highway in Agassiz, and dealt with false alarms in Hemlock Valley, on Bridal Falls Road, Yale Road East in Popkum and on Rockwell Drive near Harrison Hot Springs. Finally, there were fall or abandoned calls on Lougheed Hwy. and on Seabird Island Reserve.
