Busy week for Agassiz RCMP

It was a busy week for the Agassiz RCMP, from June 11 - 17, with various types of callouts.

They recovered a stolen vehicle on West Harrison Forest Service Road, and brought down a marijuana operation on Glenwood Drive in Agassiz. There were four assault calls, two on Highway 9, one on Seabird and an assault with a weapon near the Popkum roundabout.

Threats were uttered on Pioneer Avenue and on Cheam Reserve, and there was a breach of peace call on Seabird Island.

There were several reports of disturbances, at Chesnut and Walnut Avenues, Pioneer Avenue and near Elbow Lake.

Break and enters happened on Miami River Drive, Hot Springs Road, Glenwood Drive, McCallum Road, Cheam Avenue and at a business on Highway 9 in Agassiz.

A vehicle was taken without consent at East Harrison Lake, and an ATV was stolen from Meadow Drive. A vehicle was stolen from Tuyttens Road, and there were two thefts under $5000, one on Inkman Road, and another on Harrison Lake.

They responded to the train/vehicle collision at Wells/Cameron Road, and a collision on West Harrison Lake Service Road.

As for driving infractions, there was a roadside prohibition on Old Yale Road in Popkum, and on Logan Road in Agassiz, as well as an impaired on Cameron Road.

Several people were charged with intoxication in a public place last week as well, at the Agassiz-Rosedale bridge and Morrow Road, on the Scowlitz Reserve and on Cogburn Beach.

Someone was charged with possession of marijuana on Cemetery Road, and there were four call outs for the mental health act in the Agassiz and Popkum area. They were called out on the coroner's act, and enforced bylaws on Elm and Golf Roads, and Esplanade.

There were suspicious activities on Morris Valley Road, and reports of mischief on Golf Road, Hot Springs Road, Pinewood and Pioneer Avenues.

There were two calls of Child, Family and Community Services Act in Agassiz and a firearms call on West Harrison Forest Service Road.

They assisted the Abbotsford Police in Kent, and the Port Coquitlam RCMP in Harrison. There was a missing person located on Rockwell Drive, and false alarms at Prasmount Place, Martin and Tower Roads in Agassiz and at McCombs in Harrison. There was a false or abandoned 911 call on McCombs, as well.
