Prize books are now available for the Agassiz Fall Fair and Corn Festival.

This is the 105th year for the fair, and the 61st for the festival. And if you've never entered in the fair, this may just be your year.

A large portion of the fair is the 4-H Division, but there are plenty of opportunities for everyone to get involved in a little friendly competition.

Entries run the gamut from crocheted baby hats to Lego creations. If it's a craft, hobby, art or anything inbetween, there's a chance you can enter it in the fair.

Entry fees, per entry, are 50¢ for children up to 17 years of age, and $1 for adults. The deadline to get your entry forms in is September 10. The proceeds from the entries go towards paying out prize money.

Some of the divisions available to enter into include pets, fruits, vegetables, field produce, floral, household arts, needlework, arts and crafts, children's crafts, photography and homemade wines and beers. There are also subcategories in many divisions that are open to children.

For a complete list of deadlines, fees, divisions, rules and contact information, pick up a prize book at supporting businesses around Agassiz, including the Agassiz-Harrison Observer.

It's also time to think about joining in the Agassiz Fall Fair Parade. Entry forms are in the prize book. The fair this year will be held September 18 and 19. For more information, phone the Agassiz Agricultural and Horticultural Association at 604-796-3246.
