Last year: 50-23-1-6, first in North Division; lost in Calder Cup final
2009-10 record: 3-1-0-0, 6 points, first in North Division
Leading scorers through two games:
Marco Rosa – 2 goals, 3 assists, 5 points

Darren Machesney – 1-0-0, 1.00 GAA, .968 PCT
Cory Schneider – 2-1-0, 2.34 GAA, .905 PCT
KEEP AN EYE ON: Sergei Shirokov. The Russian right winger was a preseason sensation for the Vancouver Canucks, and earned a spot on the No. 1 power play unit out of training camp. He struggled during the Canucks' 0-3 start, though, and was sent down to Manitoba. He's hit the scoresheet in both of his games in a Moose uniform.
==========
VISITOR: Abbotsford Heat
NHL affiliate: Calgary Flames
Last year: The Heat's predecessors, the Quad City Flames, finished 36-31-6-7 for 85 points, fifth in the West Division in 2008-09.
2009-10: 0-0-2-0, 2 points, sixth in North Division
Leading scorers:
Kris Chucko – 3 goals, 0 assists, 3 points
John Negrin – 0-2-2
Matt Pelech – 0-2-2

Goalie stats:
Leland Irving 0-1-0-0, 1.94 GAA, .943 PCT
Matt Keetley 0-1-0-0, 5.55 GAA, .860 PCT
KEEP AN EYE ON: Jason Jaffray. The Heat centre is making a homecoming – he was a key cog for the Moose over the previous four-plus seasons, prior to signing with the Calgary Flames as a free agent in the off-season. He sparkled in his Heat debut on Saturday, scoring the lone Abby goal of the game in a 2-1 loss to the San Antonio Rampage.
