What of the pain drug dealers cause?

There has been much publicity in respect to the select section of video released of the two constables arresting three (alleged) drug dealers.

I would like to remind us all of the damage that the people that engage in the selling of hard and/or highly addictive drugs inflict on our society.

To my knowledge, dealers are never convicted of manslaughter. However, in reality they leave their poisonous time bombs through our neighbourhoods that can result in death or serious injury.

The pain and anguish that they cause parents, children, friends, and relatives is immeasurable.

The cost we all pay for policing, insurance, and social programs is staggering.

The frustration of the revolving doors of the courts can only result in burn-out of our officers.

The dealers may have suffered a few bruises during their arrest, however, the pain that they endured is minimal to what they have imposed.

I agree that the police need to follow policy, and I also appreciate the challenges they face in providing a safe community.
