On Sept. 13 the Abbotsford SPCA held its annual Paws for a Cause walk. We had an overwhelming turnout of approximately 200 people and 140 great dogs.

Jointly, you raised over $22,973 to help the injured, abandoned and unwanted animals in Abbotsford.

We are a non-profit organization which hosts several fundraising events each year. To make these events successful we need to reach out to the businesses in our community for donations. I would like to thank the following for their support: Bosley’s, Hills Science Diet, Valley Feed Bag Food, Scotia Bank, Invisible Fencing, Abbotsford Critter Sitters, Shelby Cruickshanks, Envision, Abbotsford Police Department, and The Abbotsford News which followed the incredible story of Clayton Hodges and his dog Scout.

Of course we couldn’t do it without all of our wonderful volunteers and all of you who went above and beyond to help the animals.

Jodi Dunlop
