Minority governments must compromise

MP Ed Fast is absolutely correct in saying that “Canadians are going to be very, very upset by this...” referring to the possibility of another election this fall.
What he and his leader seem to forget is that the Canadian voters have given the Conservative Party a mandate to govern with a minority of seats in the federal Parliament.
The only way a minority government can work is that the government ensure that the policies and supporting legislation they bring forward meet with the approval of the Opposition, in the interest of all Canadians.
Collaboration, co-operation, and yes, even compromise are required.
