Two thumbs up for Liz Frost’s letter about the inhumane sport of calf roping.
A picture is worth a thousand words that was showing the big, brave cowboy roping and about to slam down that helpless calf.
All just for man’s entertainment – what a sick way to get your jollies.
It should be banned as the Cloverdale Rodeo did.
Now the steer wrestling is equally or even more so cruel as the steers suffer herniated discs in their neck when being twisted down.
It too should be banned.
This is not just about the animals, this is about mankind and the desire to use God’s creation for pleasure.
Perhaps we are more primitive than we realize.
