The transfer station has increased its minimum charge from $3 to $10.
I do a lot of bike riding in rural parts of Abbotsford and on Sumas Mountain. Ignorant pigs throwing their garbage on the side of the road is a real problem.
Because of this increase I will feel less anger towards them. A non-pig wanting to dispose of a mattress or box spring, etc. would be willing to pay $3. Will he pay $10? Will he just become an intelligent pig and throw it on the side of the road?
It will get to the landfill in any case.
