Littering laws need to be enforced

On Trethewey Street between South Fraser Way and Rotary Stadium, law enforcement is needed to stop the littering problem.
It is not possible to see the garbage by driving, but by walking you will find it a disgusting experience.
Since I moved to this street, I noticed that a few teenagers are responsible. This happens mostly between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., when some teenagers walk to the convenience store at the corner of George Ferguson Way and Trethewey Street to buy snacks.
The city has already supplied new garbage containers on the street, but a few teenagers still do not use them. Moreover, the number of containers is insufficient, and they are often overflowing with garbage.
I think that the next step is law enforcement. The cultural centre was recently opened and it deserves to be located on a clean street, which is shamefully not the case now.
What impression will this have on visitors to our city?
The adults and teenagers who litter the streets may not have friends and parents telling them that “littering is not cool.”
Well, it is time that the city sends an environmental officer to enforce the law and tell these people that littering the street is not acceptable anymore.
