The Abbotsford Police Board is getting two new members.
Deborah Lehmann and Ted Strocel will join the board, which operates under the Police Act to set policy direction for the APD, oversee finances, and negotiate and approve union agreements.
Board members are volunteers.
Lehmann, who is executive director of the Abbotsford Hospice Society, specializes in human resources.
Strocel, a lawyer for 31 years, has developed a corporate and commercial practice and is a member of Cascade Law Corporation, a firm with offices in Aldergrove, Abbotsford and Agassiz.
The two new members will join the existing board: chair Mayor George Peary, Gerri Charles, Dorothy Dyck, Jon Eaton and Jatinder Sidhu.
