Attacked at party

Mission police want to talk to anyone who was at a bonfire party on Oct. 22 in a field between Dewdney and Deroche.

According to Const. Amanda Fallis, a 22-year-old man claimed to have been seriously assaulted while he was there.

The victim, who attended the party with a friend, reported five or six individuals struck him from behind, and kicked him in the head, face, arms and ribs while he was down.

The victim loss consciousness, and he was alone when he awoke. The victim managed to drive himself to a location with a telephone and called police around 9 p.m. He suffered lacerations to his face, nose and wrist.

The victim was taken to Abbotsford Regional Hospital and later released.
