An Abbotsford man suspected of drunk driving crashed into a police car Tuesday night.
The 47-year-old resident drove his vehicle off his driveway on Ware Street into the path of a southbound patrol car around 7:30 p.m., said Const. Ian MacDonald.
Neither the driver nor police officer were injured. However, both vehicles were damaged, said MacDonald.
“The driver’s vehicle is worse off than the patrol car, but we don’t like it when police cars are damaged.”
The driver – already charged with impaired driving from a single-vehicle crash that occurred in April – is now facing another drunk driving charge.
The incident is still under investigation and more charges may be forthcoming, said MacDonald.
