Drug bust
Two men are charged after
police busted a home in Mission, and seized drugs and Red Scorpions gang paraphernalia. The Abbotsford Police drug squad, provincial emergency response team and Mission RCMP executed a warrant at a house in the 8400 block of Doerksen Drive last Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Officers seized $3,000, ammunition, four ounces of cocaine and a Red Scorpions jacket. Michael O’Brien, 28, and 27-year-old Mohamed Amarhoun, who are both well known to police, are charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking.
Teen stabbed
A young man was taken to hospital Wednesday morning with stab wounds after a group of youth got into a conflict on Samuel Court. Police got a call at 1 a.m. about a group of six to 10 teens in a dispute, said Const. Ian MacDonald. By the time officers had arrived the youth had fled. An hour later
police stopped a car on Montrose Avenue and arrested three teens, 17 years old, who are now facing weapons
charges. No guns or weapons were found in the vehicle. Around 9 a.m. police got a call from ambulance services who said they were treating someone
with apparent stab wounds,
said MacDonald. A 19-year-old man who investigators believe was part of the earlier dispute was sent to hospital for injuries to his shoulder.
