Abbotsford Police continue to investigate the circumstances that led to two infants being locked inside a sealed van while their dad was in an Agrifair beer garden.
Abbotsford Police Const. Ian MacDonald said the department wants to do as thorough job as possible before recommending charges to Crown counsel, and has lined up more “key interviews” in the coming days.
It may be two weeks before the police investigation is complete, he said.
Police arrested the father of the two-year-old and four-month-old in the early hours of Aug. 1, after they found the infants in a locked van with its windows closed.
Police will not identify suspects in a case until charges are officially sworn.
