The City of Abbotsford is considering a new industrial park on King Road, which would create more than 120 jobs.

The five-acre park at 31787 King Rd. has been proposed by Davlyn Enterprises and King RBJ Holdings. The city is considering a series of business developments on King, with that road identified as being the main future access point to Abbotsford International Airport in the airport’s long-term master plan.

The business park will be built on land that used to sit in the Agricultural Land Reserve, but was part of 400 acres removed in 2005 following a decision by the Agricultural Land Commission. The industrial park proposal will now be forwarded to a future public hearing.
