Police stop suspect vehicle in drive-by shooting

Abbotsford Police stopped a vehicle on Wednesday afternoon they believe was connected to a recent drive-by shooting.

The green Chevrolet Avalanche was pulled over on Union Avenue near Janzen Street.

"That vehicle was a vehicle of interest in the shots fired incident on June 28 on Maclure Road," said Const. Ian MacDonald.

"We are interviewing the driver and it's safe to say we're investigating further."

Police said the drive-by shooting in June was not random.

The 28-year-old target, who was out walking his dog, escaped uninjured.
