Abbotsford Fire Rescue battled a barn blaze early on Wednesday morning.
A dairy farmer in the 27600 block of Grey Avenue woke up at 2 a.m. to discover a fire in one of his large barns.
Fire crews arrived to find flames and smoke in the centre of the large barn used to store hay.
The farmer had slowed the spread of the fire with a water line, and firefighers were able to extinguish the blaze and prevent it from spreading to an adjacent outbuilding.
Damages to the barn are estimated at $80,000 to $100,000.
The fire is still under investigation but may have been caused by an electrical problem.
