Your busy holiday season just got easier.

These holiday style ideas help you take key pieces that can easily transform your look from day to evening:

The Little Black Dress: A wardrobe staple for every woman, you can transition the LBD from day to night with a few savvy switches. Change the office flats to pretty lace pumps or satin and snake print heels. Add a new LBD to your closet, but dress it up with this season’s ruffles, satin and lace.

Merry Berries: Red is still a great holiday colour but the season is rich with jewel tones like pink, purple and blues. Cocktail dresses come in a contemporary colour palette that bring some colourful sparkle and shine to your holiday look.

Accessory Chic: This season, statement jewelry makes a big impact. Stand out with elaborate black jeweled necklaces that add visual interest and loads of sparkle. Cocktail rings are another great way to add glitz and glamour without breaking the bank. Clutches finish off the look in satin, sateen and metallic leather.

Tuxedo Dressing: When masculine meets feminine, the result is a wonderful take on the tuxedo. Black and white is chic and the tuxedo details make it current. A tuxedo suit can take you from office to party. Wear for day with a simple blouse or sweater set but dress it up for evening with a white ruffled blouse.

Mixed Materials: Make an outfit extra special for the holidays by mixing textures. It’s as easy as incorporating a beautifully draped satin blouse under a structured blazer or throwing over a dramatic, full-length black coat trimmed in faux sherling. A velvet blazer is perfect for the season, and lurex cardigans are a great knit to add a dose of metallic shine.
