A dance in support of the Abbotsford Hospice Society takes place Friday, Oct. 30 at the Abbotsford District Teachers’ Association hall at 2570 Cyril St. Live music is by No Code Blue. Doors open at 7 p.m. Cost is $20, including a snack. Info: Caroline at 604-852-6444 or Linda at 604-853-2925.
Registration is on Thursday, Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. to noon for the next set of computer classes offered by the Abbotsford Seniors’ Association. Classes begin that day – noon for beginners and 2 p.m. for intermediates – at the drop-in centre at 2631 Cyril St. They run for three weeks. Cost is $60.
Abbotsford Community Services (ACS) holds an orientation session on Thursday, Oct. 29 for those interested in becoming Host Program volunteers. The session runs from 6 to 8 p.m. at ACS, 2420 Montrose Ave. The friendship-based Host Program helps new immigrants practise English and learn about Canadian culture.
