Dads and Kids at Play, a drop-in for fathers and their kids ages five to 12, runs twice a week in Abbotsford: Mondays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Abbotsford Recreation Centre and Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Ag-Rec Building.

The cost is $2.80 per child, and free for dads. The program is a partnership between Abbotsford Parks and Recreation and the Father Involvement Program at Abbotsford Community Services.

Activities include fort building, obstacle course, crazy games and more. Info: Jeff at 604-613-3487.

The 13-week Financial Peace University program that helps people better manage their money comes to Abbotsford on Tuesday, Sept. 22. Classes are held at 7 p.m. at Abbotsford Christ the King, 2393 West Railway. Register by calling Darrin Greene at 604-217-5277 or e-mailing greener43@hotmail.com.

The Singles Travel Club gets together on Monday, Sept. 21 at ABC Restaurant, 32080 Marshall Rd. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. The club offers group tours for single people.

Living Room – a faith-based support group for people with a mood disorder – meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at Sevenoaks Alliance Church, 2575 Gladwin Rd., in room 101. The meetings run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and are open to those living with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and other conditions. Call Alice at 604-855-3449 for more details.

The Alzheimer Early Memory Loss Support Group meets Tuesday, Sept. 22 in Abbotsford and Wednesday, Sept. 23 in Mission. Both sessions are from 2 to 3 p.m. For more details, including locations, call Jillian at 604-859-3889 and leave a message.
