An Abbotsford student is the recipient of a $500 scholarship from the B.C. Association of Agricultural Fairs and Exhibitions.
Kaitlyn Schurmann was among two students in B.C. to receive the award, for students who plan to continue their education in an agriculture-related field of study.
Schurmann was raised on her family’s dairy farm and has been an active participant at the Abbotsford Agrifair, the Chilliwack Exhibition and the PNE.
The other scholarship recipient was Talon Johnson of Dawson Creek.
