Bible school at church

Open Door Church (Bethel Reformed Church Complex) at 3260 Gladwin Rd. holds a free Vacation Bible School from July 8 to 12.

The program is for kids ages four to 12. It runs 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. from Tuesday to Friday and 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

Story times at library

Mission Library (33247 Second Ave.) holds a series of ESL story times this summer, starting July 7.

The sessions are held every Monday from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. until Aug. 18.

English learners are welcome to come and enjoy this free program of stories, songs and puppets.   The program is suitable for children ages 10 and under.

The Friends of the Abbotsford Libraries hosts its annual paperback book sale on Saturday, July 5 at MSA Centennial Library (33660 South Fraser Way).

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Paperbacks will be 30 cents each or four for $1.

Time to give blood

Canadian Blood Services holds a blood donor clinic in Abbotsford this Saturday, July 5.

The clinic takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Abbotsford Pentecostal Assembly, 3145 Gladwin Rd. Book an appointment by calling 1-888-236-6283.

Blind group meets

The Abbotsford Blind and Visually Impaired Society meets Wednesday, July 9 at 12:30 p.m.

The Abbotsford Quilters’ Guild meets Tuesday, July 8 in the basement of Bethel Reformed Church (3260 Gladwin Rd.).
