A trio of new artistic displays were unveiled at the Reach Gallery Museum on Thursday night. The three shows are a diverse collection of works that should appeal to a wide variety of people in the community.
The exhibits include Boundaries – Recent Works by Members of the Visual Arts Department University of the Fraser Valley; Travelling Spirits: Instruments from the Collection of Boris Sichon; and Mennonites: People of Faith and Action. All three shows will run until Jan. 3.
While the shows are running simultaneously, each is different.
Boundaries offers an eclectic range of visual experiences and provides the public with an opportunity to learn about the diverse perspectives of the artists who teach in the Visual Arts Department at UFV.
Mennonites: People of Faith and Action is a collection of images capturing the 75 year story of the Mennonite people who pioneered in the Abbotsford area in the early 1930s.
Travelling Spirits features instruments owned by Boris Sichon who has a collection of ethnic musical instruments he compiled as an international touring musician.
