Mice band together to help food bank

Fourteen mice of the two-legged variety and who happen to be in the production of Abbotsford Children’s Theatre, Cinderella, want to give back to the community by helping out the Abbotsford Food Bank.
At all the performances for Cinderella if you bring a can a food or make a donation to the Food Bank, the mice will give you a concession ticket for a free drink and cookies. At the end of the production run ACT members will make a presentation to the food bank.
The production was written by ACT alumni members and is a modern fairy tale. The Fairy Godmother has a finishing school for princesses that has been taken over by Cinderella’s wicked stepmother. Meet the Ugly Stepsisters, Red Riding Hood, Bo Peep, and of course the mice.
Cinderella runs Dec. 3-4 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 5 at 1 p.m. at the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium. Tickets are $9 in advance and $10 at the door and are available at House of Fine Art, United Optical, Parks, Recreation & Culture and Tourism Abbotsford.
