Woodcarvers offering free course for beginners

The Central Fraser Valley Woodcarvers are looking to build their membership by offering a free beginner course later this month.
It’s all about providing opportunities for people who have never tried it, but have always wondered about it, said Judy Whyte, Abbotsford arts council executive director.
“We have a keen interest in promoting the art,” she said.
The course is held in the workshop room at Old Yale Secondary, 34620 Old Yale Road.
