The fourth annual Shop and Share event takes place at the Abbotsford Hospice Society, 33134 Marshall Rd., on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

The event runs from noon to 6 p.m., and partial proceeds support bereavement and palliative care programs.

The public is invited to drop by and shop for items such as candles, cosmetics, gifts, gourmet items, housewares, jewelry and more. Info: 604-852-2456.

The first part of a two-part program on genealogy takes place Tuesday, Nov. 3 at Clearbrook Library (32320 George Ferguson Way).

Chris Longley, co-ordinator of the Port Coquitlam Genealogy Group, discusses the basics of genealogy research. Part two of the program will be on Nov. 17. Register at 604-859-7814.

Abbotsford Community Services (2420 Montrose Ave.) holds a Christmas shopping night on Tuesday, Nov. 3 from 4 to 8 p.m.

This is a fundraiser for the Meals on Wheels program. Jewelry, candles, purses, makeup, cooking products and soap are among the products available. Info: 604-870-3763 or 604-870-3764.The Abbotsford Parkinsons Self-Help Support Group meets the first Monday of every month from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Matsqui Recreation Centre, 3106 Clearbrook Rd.
