Family open house at dairy

Goats Pride Dairy hosts a family open house on Saturday, July 18 from noon to 4 p.m.
Visitors can enjoy goat cart rides, face painting, storytelling (about goats), trail walks, visits with the goats and all the farm critters, and demonstrations of hoof trimming, clipping and other aspects of goat care.
Adults and kids alike can try milking a goat at a demonstration run by the farm. as well as make their own ice cream.
Visitors also have the opportunity to see young salmon fry swimming in the safety of the adjacent McLennan Creek, an environmentally protected stream.
The open house also includes samples of cheese and other organic goodies.
