The BC Food Processors Health and Safety Council (BCFPHSC) and WorkSafeBC will recognize Lilydale Inc., one of Canada’s leading poultry processors and one of the largest employers in the Abbotsford area, for excellence in occupational safety management at a ceremony on Sept. 23.
Lilydale is the first company in the food and beverage processing industry to qualify for certification under the Certificate of Recognition program.
The Certificate of Recognition (COR) program is an initiative that recognizes and rewards employers who develop and implement a best practices approach to health and safety and return-to-work (RTW) programs that meet or exceed legal requirements.
In the program the management of health and safety becomes an integral part of the structure of a successful business contributing to profitability and productivity. COR certified employers can use the trademark logo on its products.
