Summerland’s classic car wine tours will soon be viewed by more than 75 million people, thanks to an American television show.
Last June, Nixdorf Classic Cars was discovered by Dennis Gage, who hosts a show airing on the Speed channel in the United States called My Classic Car.
Crews filmed an entire episode of the show last June, following four classic cars on a wine tour.
“Right now, it’s going to be played on Aug. 9 on Speed,” said Jim Kyluik of Nixdorf Classic Cars.
Kyluik said the television crew came up to British Columbia because they had heard about the Peach City Beach Cruise.
He added that Gage ended up calling the company, and Kyluik told him about the wine tours.
Kyluik said Gage liked that the company is actually using the cars and enjoying them, as opposed to simply collecting the vintage vehicles.
Episode #24 of My Classic Car, entitled Cruising the Wine Country is set to air Aug. 9.
