Students from Graham Musical Theatre are proud to present, Urinetown, at the G.W. Graham Theatre starting on Sunday with a preview matinee.
It’s one of the most uproariously funny musicals in recent years despite having one of the worst names, said producer Matthew Webster.
A 22-member cast has been rehearsing every day after school, and they are excited for the curtain to go up next week.
The production is described as “a hilarious tale of greed, corruption, love, and revolution at a time when water was worth its weight in gold.”
Urinetown starts Sunday, Nov. 22, with a preview matinee at 1 p.m. ($10), and nightly from Tuesday, Nov. 24 to Saturday, Nov. 28 at 7:30 p.m. ($15).
Tickets are on sale at London Drugs, Save-On Foods, and at the school.
The musical comes “hot on the heels” of last spring’s success with the production of Thoroughly Modern Millie, Webster added.
