Renowned jazz guitarist hits stage Saturday

The Community Arts Council of White Rock and District's 2009-10 music series continues with a performance by a rising Montreal-based jazz star, guitarist Mike Rud, Saturday Nov. 14 (8 p.m.) at the Royal Canadian Legion Crescent Branch 240, 2643 128 St.
Rud, critically hailed for "exquisite" playing and "sunny tones, obvious maturity and expressive single note lines," will be joined by former McGill University colleagues Tilden Webb (piano), Jodi Proznick (bass) and Jess Cahill (drums).
Next concert in the series will be with New York-based trumpet and flugelhorn virtuosa Ingrid Jensen and her quartet, Jan. 30.
