Artist's Bio and Statement

The Confluence Painters get together regularly, to work in Castlegar at St. David's Anglican Church. Painting mediums chosen to work in by these artists include acrylics, watercolour, and graphite. Working in a group gives each artist a chance to share experiences and techniques in different mediums, as well as inspire and motivate each other.

"We don't have a formal agenda or teach lessons, but we can always ask for a bit of advice. We get to see interesting materials and talk about new equipment and sources of supplies. Watching other artists work is invaluable in our own artistic development, and working amongst other artists helps with "stage fright" when painting outdoors where other people watch you paint," mentions member Sandra Donohue.
