InterAction, with pictures and objects by Heinz Klassen and studio quilts by Lois Klassen, is the newest exhibition to grace the walls of the O'Connor Group Gallery in the Chilliwack Cultural Centre.

The art show, presented by the husband-and-wife team, work together to each express their individual chosen medium by each looking to the other for encouragement and collaboration.

Heinz's artwork includes drawing objects which express his unique vision of the world around him by re-imagining natural objects in a fresh way. Small sculptures, constructions and drawings are combined and arranged into an assembled environment within the gallery space.

Lois's quilts are designed to be hung on a wall, and appreciated as one would view a painting. Lois employs a variety of techniques encompassing both traditional fabrics in her one of-a kind quilts, and nontraditional (for quilts); surface design including oil stick rubbing, and thread couching.

InterAction runs Sept. 14 to Oct. 21 in the art gallery at Chilliwack Cultural Centre. Opening reception is Saturday, Sept. 16 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Gallery hours are Wednesdays to Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
