Join local author and musician Devon Muhlert in the new Caetani Studio Gallery to launch her self-published book Cadence of Colour: Sveva Caetani and her Mothers.

This vibrant book tells Sveva’s story from first arriving to Vernon from Italy in 1921 and how she journeyed to become “a passionate painter who discovered a happy life filled with a cadence of colour,” said Muhlert.

There will be a reading and songs by a women trio, including Sveva’s Song, written by Muhlert. Books will be available for sale for $20 and a portion of the proceeds will be donated in support of the continuing programs at the Caetani Centre.

Muhlert maintains a resident studio at the Caetani Centre, where she teaches guitar, flute, saxophone, and therapeutic singing to students from ages seven to 70 and up.

Muhlert will be launching her self-published book Cadence of Colour: Sveva Caetani and her Mothers at Caetani Centre Studio Gallery Saturday, May 13 at 7 p.m.
