Author reads about quest

Lawrence Winkler reads from his book Orion’s Cartwheel at Nanaimo North Library Saturday (Oct. 22) from 2-3:30 p.m.

The book tells the story of a young doctor. In the summer of 1980 he decides to hitchhike around the world. The doctor is embarking on a vision quest. The story covers his five-year journey to discover his destiny.

Winkler has published 10 books. Originally Winkler worked as a medical professor but eventually he began to combine his love of science and poetry and delved into the world of narrative non-fiction writing.
