June 27/28 - The Woody James Band performs live at the Anavets (305-46268 Yale Rd.) playing songs from their four CDs and all the best classic rock hits.

July 1 - The Canada Day Celebration will be held on the grounds of the Chilliwack Landing again this year. The day includes a pancake breakfast, games, crafts, rides, and more. There will be free skating at Prospera Centre, free swimming at the Leisure Centre, plus competitions at the skateboard park. Entertainment by local artists, including Inez Jasper and Todd Richard. The evening will conclude with a fireworks show at Townsend Park at 10 p.m.

July 2 - Kick off this year's Music and More event with the annual Pet Parade at the Chilliwack Library from 10-11 a.m. Enter your pet and let it show off in one of the categories: best dressed, trickiest trick, owner look-alike and others. Prizes galore to be won.

July 2 - Music and More takes place every Wednesday evening from July 2 to Aug. 27 featuring music, entertainment, arts and crafts, theatre, and more at both the Chilliwack Library (5-7 p.m.) and the Sardis Library (4-6 p.m.) on alternating Wednesdays. Tonight's event is at the Chilliwack Library and features the Chilliwack Family YMCA, a drum circle, and Secondary Characters musical theatre.

Now to July 26 - The Chilliwack Visual Artists Association presents its group show, Movement, at the Art Gallery in the Cultural Centre from June 12 to July 26. Gallery hours: Wednesdays to Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., and 6 to 8 p.m. on show evenings.

Now to July 31 - Rosedale photographers, Michael and Jutta Schulz, have a series of images printed on metal at the Chilliwack Museum in their exhibit, Spectrum, from June 21 to July 31. Gallery hours: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. Admission  $3/adults, $2/seniors.

Now to Sept. 6 - The Cultus Lake Saturday Market in the Park at Main Beach runs every Saturday now until Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. www.cultuslakecommunity.com.

Now to Sept. 11 - Members of the Golden Palette Art Club currently have their work on display at The Art Room until Sept. 11. The gallery is located at 20-5725 Vedder Rd. and is open Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Now to October - The Eco Market runs every Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Sardis Park featuring locals artists, farmers and more. www.theecomarket.ca.
