Frankie Cena performs first solo concert June 26

Burnaby native Frankie Cena performs his first-ever solo concert at Michael J. Fox Theatre on Thursday, June 26 at 6:30 p.m.

“It was so important for me to have my first show in Burnaby," said Cena, 22. "This is where I went to school, this is where I grew and developed as a person. I’ve hosted numerous events and performed many times at this theatre. It feels like home.”

Along with completing a University of B.C. commerce degree, Cena's recent credits have included stints as an American Eagle model and Mr. World Canada.

The show will feature a band directed by Trevor Hoffman and guest singers including Burnaby's Stephanie Standerwick, Jerrica Santos of Surrey, Ria Jade and Iris Del Castillo of Maple Ridge, Gelsy Wong of Vancouver, and Jessica Zraly of Coquitlam.

The event will be a celebration of Cena's career up to now and a look toward the future.

Tickets range from $20 for kids to $35 for adults and are available at http://bit.ly/1nx7WTn/.
