As in previous years Island Voices Chamber Choir is thrilled to be sponsoring a choir from afar, that will be travelling to Canada to perform at the Kathaumixw Choral Competition in Powell River.

This year Campbell River audiences will have the opportunity to hear the award winning Tachov Children’s Choir from the Czech Republic at 8 p.m., on Monday July 7, at Campbell River United Church.

In recent years this choir under the founding director Josef Brabanec, has won silver medals at the World Choir Games in Shaoxing China and has toured throughout the world.

Island Voices Chamber Choir is still looking for places to billet or house the children while in Campbell River.

For further information about the concert or about billeting go to www.islandvoiceschamberchoir.bc.ca or  contact Jo-Anne Preston 250-337-5730.

Tickets for this concert are $10 and are available at the Campbell River Visitor’s Centre or at the door.
