An opening reception will be held on Thursday at Coquitlam’s Evergreen Cultural Centre for a photography exhibition that highlights the forest and its meditative state.

Vancouver artist Karin Bubas will show new and recent images — manipulated by the paper tole technique — as part of her collection Scenes from the Paper Forest.

An award-winning artist who is represented by the Monte Clark galleries in Vancouver and Toronto, Bubas studied at the Emily Carr University of Art + Design and has displayed her work around the world, including in Paris, Brussels and Washington DC.

The Coquitlam reception will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. in the art gallery (1205 Pinetree Way). Visit evergreenculturalcentre.ca.
