Rave on art

Alberni Art Rave is looking for artists wanting to showcase their work at this summer’s second annual art event.

This year’s 11-day show is again to be held in Port Alberni’s historic train station from July 25–Aug. 4.

All work/projects should be for sale by commission; there are no size restrictions and projects in any medium will be considered.

This year’s show revolves around Henry David Thoreau’s quotation, “What would human life be without forests, those natural cities?”

Art Rave organizers intend that Thoreau’s quotation will be a unifying theme for the show.

Artists are asked to consider the above statement and design a project/ art piece that depicts their creative reaction to the quote.

The deadline to enter art for jury consideration is Friday, May 23.
