Spring is more than just sights and smells.

In Chemainus, it's also about the sounds.

The Chemainus Classical Concert series returns Sunday with Trios for Spring, a collaboration between three classic talents.

"The West Isle Winds, featuring Heather Walker (French horn), Donna Falconer (piano) and Susanne Bullock (clarinet) combine in a joyful blend as they offer a tantalizing introduction to seldom-heard works by Romantic composers," event publicist Lynne Landygo said in a media release.

The trio will explore the works of Mozart, Strauss, Schubert, Bizet and many other leading composers of the era.

The show starts at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 27, in the heritage surroundings of St. Michael's Church in downtown Chemainus.

Tickets are $15 in advance ($20 at the door) from at Owl's Nest Bakery Bistro (Chemainus), Ten Old Books (Duncan), Mike's Cafe (Crofton), Salamander Books (Ladysmith), Valley Vines to Wines (Mill Bay) and the Chemainus Festival Inn or by calling 250-748-8383.
