Auditions to be held for Gallery 7's Anne

Gallery 7 Theatre will be holding open auditions April 9 for its June production of L.M. Montgomery’s Canadian tale Anne (of Green Gables), adapted for the stage by Paul Ledoux.

The audition begins at 6:30 p.m. at MEI Auditorium (4081 Clearbrook Rd.) and is open to male and female performers ages 16 and up. Those interested in working behind the scenes are also invited to attend.

The production will feature six female and two male performers.

Rehearsals will begin April 14 and will be held Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 10 p.m. Two Saturday rehearsals will also be scheduled.

All rehearsals and performances will be held at the MEI Auditorium.

Directing Anne will be Megan Mackenzie, who recently directed Gallery 7’s hit production of The Outsiders and has appeared on stage in productions of Quiet in the Land and The Hiding Place for the company.

Anne will run June 13 and 14, 19-21 and 26-28 at 7:30 p.m., with discount matinees on June 14, 21 and 28 at 2 p.m.
