Artist cash available

Student artists wanting to further their career by mounting an exhibit at the Port Moody Arts Centre can now apply for a scholarship.

Candidates can enter to win the $1,500 Kwi Am Choi scholarship, named in memory of the late Port Moody artist who died in 2006 while hiking on Grouse Mountain.

To qualify, artists must be between the ages of 15 and 30, be enrolled in a secondary school or fine art post-secondary institution and be considered an “emerging artist.”

The deadline is July 21. Email submissions@pomoarts.ca for a form.
