Benefit concert supports typhoon victims

A group of concerned Nanaimoites have come together in an effort to raise money for the victims of typhoon Haiyan that crippled the Philippines last November.

A wide range of singers, dancers, poets and musicians will showcase their talents tonight (Feb. 6) at a fundraising concert at St. Paul’s Anglican Church.

Admission to the event is a suggested donation of $5, however higher dominations are encouraged. Funds raised will go towards the Canadian Red Cross and tax receipts will be available.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the concert beginning at 7 p.m. For more information on the Filipino Fundraiser contact Lewis at 250-755-4068.
